1x1-DVR: video recording that detects people and stays with you.
Your cameras record continuously in SD. When the camera AI detects a person, an additional recording starts in full HD resolution. This keeps storage needs low, and the moments that matter are sharp. Recordings and storage stay on site, with no cloud subscription.
What happens when someone is at the door
The detections are available in Home Assistant for automations. This way recording, lighting and alarm system work together.
- Person detectedThe camera AI distinguishes between person, vehicle, animal and general motion. Very short detections are hidden as probable false alarms, but still saved.
- HD recording startsIn addition to the continuous SD recording, with adjustable post-recording time. Zoom cameras automatically zoom out to the full frame for this.
- Lights come onThe floodlight only switches on when a person is detected and it is dark, and switches off a few minutes after the last detection. On request, a detection triggers the alarm when the alarm system is armed.
- Event in the historyThe detection appears as a coloured marker on the timeline, with a preview image.
In daily use
- The day at a glanceTimeline with coloured event markers and activity density across the whole day, with preview images on hover. Plus an event list with counters and variable playback speed.
- Several cameras in syncDuring playback, other cameras play at the same time. This lets you follow a sequence of events from several angles.
- Point the camera with a clickClick in the image and the pan camera turns to that spot, also in the Home Assistant app. After tracking, the zoom moves back out.
- Schedule per cameraWeekly schedule per camera, optionally switching to HD automatically at night, based on sunrise and sunset.
- Export in a few clicksMark the start and end on the timeline, choose SD or HD, download as a video file. Every export is logged.
In operation
You only notice a recording that has silently stalled when you need it. That is why the 1x1-DVR monitors itself.
- Recording you can rely onHome Assistant continuously checks whether new footage is really being saved, not just whether the recorder is running. If a stream drops, recording restarts automatically.
- Storage manages itselfYou set the retention period freely. When storage runs low, the oldest recordings are removed and recording continues.
- Access with rolesRoles for administration, operation and view-only, encrypted access and a complete log of who viewed or exported what.
