1. At a glance
This website works without tracking, without analytics tools, without advertising cookies and without third-party content. Fonts, videos and the map software are hosted on our own server. We process personal data only where this is necessary to operate the site or where you give us data of your own accord, for example via the contact form.

We are not required to appoint a data protection officer. If you have questions about data protection, write to us at the address above.
3. Hosting and server log files
The website runs on a server operated by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, in a data centre in Germany. We have a data processing agreement with IONOS under Art. 28 GDPR.
When a page is requested, the web server automatically stores the following information in log files: IP address, date and time, requested address, amount of data transferred, status code, the previously visited page (referrer), and browser and operating system. We need this data to deliver the site, find errors and fend off attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure, stable operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The log files are not combined with other data and are deleted after 14 days at the latest, unless a security incident needs to be investigated for longer.
All connections are encrypted with TLS. You can recognise this by “https://” and the padlock symbol in the address bar.
4. No cookies, only local settings
We do not set any cookies. So that the site remembers your settings, it stores up to two entries in your browser’s local storage (localStorage):
- theme: whether you chose the light or dark display. As long as you choose nothing, the site follows your device setting and stores nothing.
- consent: your decision about the map (see section 5), so that we do not ask again on every visit.
If you use the chat, your browser remembers a random conversation number for as long as the tab is open (sessionStorage), so that the conversation continues when you change pages. It is deleted when you close the tab.
The localStorage entries do not leave your browser, are not transmitted to us and contain no identifier that identifies you. They serve only to provide a function you requested and are therefore permitted without consent under § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG (German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act). You can delete them at any time in your browser settings (“Clear site data”).
5. Map, route planner and customer map
On the contact page and on the customer map you can display a map and calculate the route to us. The map and route planner load only once you allow this via the notice on the page or in the settings. Without your consent you only see our address.
We do not use a third-party map service for this, but our own map server. When the map is displayed, your browser loads map tiles from this server, and your IP address is transmitted in the process. If you enter a starting point, it is sent to our server to find the address and calculate the route. We use these entries only for this calculation and do not link them to you as a person.
The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG). You can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future via the “Privacy settings” link in the footer of every page.
What the customer map shows about our customers
The customer map shows where we look after customers and partners. To do so, we convert the addresses from our customer management system into coordinates on our own map server. Without consent, no address and no name is published, only a schematic circle at a calculated position within a field of roughly 2 × 2 kilometres, for remote individual customers within an area of roughly 20 × 20 kilometres. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in showing our service area (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can object at any time (Art. 21 GDPR), and we will then remove you from the map.
Customers only appear with their name if they switch this on themselves in the customer portal under “My account” › “Customer map”. We then show the name (for private customers first and last name), the town and, if desired, the website as a dot in the town centre, never the address. The legal basis is consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time in the customer portal; the map is then updated within a few minutes. We store the time of consent and withdrawal as proof. Business partners are only shown by name with their consent.
6. Contact form, email and phone
If you contact us via the form, by email or by phone, we process your details (name, email address, optionally company and phone number, and your message) in order to answer your enquiry. The form stores nothing on the website. It creates your enquiry directly in our customer management system, the 1x1-WorkOrderAgent, which we run on our own server in Germany. From there we receive a notification by email. Your IP address is not transmitted in the process.
To protect against automated mass requests, your browser solves a small computational puzzle when submitting, and we count requests per IP address. For this purpose we store the IP address only as a one-way hash with a key that changes daily, and delete it after 24 hours at the latest. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a contact channel free of abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your enquiry relates to a contract or steps prior to entering into one, otherwise our legitimate interest in answering it (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We delete your enquiry once it has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations (for example under commercial or tax law) require longer storage.
7. Fonts, videos and downloads
Fonts, videos, images and downloads are hosted on our own server. When the page loads, no connection is made to Google, content delivery networks or other third parties.
8. Customer portal, shop and WorkOrderAgent
The customer portal, the shop and the 1x1-WorkOrderAgent are separate applications that we run on our own servers in Germany. You can find out which data is processed there in the respective application and in the data processing agreement.
9. Chat with AI assistant and live chat
The “Questions?” button opens a chat. It loads nothing from third parties; data is only transmitted once you send a message.
AI assistant: Your questions are first answered by an artificial intelligence. For this we send your message, the conversation so far and matching texts from our website to the AI service Anthropic, PBC (San Francisco, USA), which acts as our processor. A data processing agreement is in place with Anthropic; the transfer to the USA is based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. The AI has no access to our customer or order data; it only knows the public content of this website. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering questions about our services quickly (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), and for questions about a possible order also Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Please do not enter sensitive data such as passwords or health data in the chat.
Live chat: If you click “Chat live with our team” (the notice about Telegram is shown right next to the button), we forward the conversation so far and your further messages to our team via the messaging service Telegram (Telegram Messenger Inc., Dubai, United Arab Emirates); our replies appear in the chat window. You do not need Telegram yourself. There is no EU adequacy decision for the United Arab Emirates and there is no data processing agreement with Telegram. The legal basis is therefore your explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a) and Art. 49(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time with effect for the future by no longer using the live chat. Alternatively, you can reach us by phone or via the contact form.
Storage period and abuse protection: We store conversations on our server in Germany and delete them 30 days after the last message. To protect against abuse and unnecessary costs, we count messages per IP address; for this we store the IP address only as a one-way checksum with a key that changes daily and delete it after 24 hours. The AI assistant only answers questions about our company. If it determines that a request clearly has nothing to do with it, we block AI answers for that IP address; the live chat and all other ways of contacting us remain open. For this block we store the IP address as a non-reversible checksum with a secret key, together with the time and the triggering message. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in an abuse-free, cost-limited service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can object to the block; a short message to us is sufficient.
10. Your rights
You have the right of access to the data we hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR), to rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3)).
Right to object: Where we process data on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), you can object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR).
An informal message to info@1x1it.de is sufficient. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und für das Recht auf Akteneinsicht Brandenburg (Brandenburg data protection commissioner), Stahnsdorfer Damm 77, 14532 Kleinmachnow.
No automated decision-making with legal or similarly significant effect (Art. 22 GDPR), including profiling, takes place. The block described in section 9 only affects AI answers in the chat; all ways of contacting us remain open.
