Map server Fleet

- **Map data:** OpenStreetMap
- **Operation:** own server, own hardware
- **Services:** map, address search, routing
- **Locations:** do not leave our system

## What runs on our own server

Everything in fleet management that involves a map or an address.

- Map tiles: The fleet map with all vehicles and the track of every single trip.
- Address search: The GPS points are turned into start and destination addresses. This search also runs on our own server.
- Routing: Snapping the route to the road network and closing gaps in reception. More on this under [Kilometres on the road](https://1x1it.de/en/workorderagent/flottenmanagement/strassenkilometer/).

## Why this matters

- **Movement data is sensitive.:** Where your vehicles park and drive says a lot about your business and your staff. With no map provider in the background, nobody is reading along.
- **One system instead of many providers.:** Map, logbook, order and invoice are all with the same provider. WorkOrderAgent is hosted in Germany.
