# Heating control with Home Assistant

> Underfloor heating controlled room by room via the valves, boiler integrated, setback when a window is open, predictive heating from the weather forecast.

The underfloor heating is controlled room by room via the valves, and an existing boiler is integrated. Based on the weather forecast, the system warms up the slow-reacting screed before it gets cold outside.

Heating control Smart home

- **Control:** room by room via the valves
- **Mode:** Off, on, automatic per room
- **Window open:** Setback temperature
- **Boiler:** integrated, run times recorded
- **Forecast:** predictive heating (beta)

## What the control system takes care of

Screed responds slowly. The control system makes up for this by starting earlier and looking more closely.

- Room-by-room control: Valve control per heating circuit, with off, on or automatic for each room individually.
- Comfort or setback: Each room has a comfort temperature and a setback temperature. If the window is open, the temperature is set back.
- Return flow monitored: The return temperature is monitored.
- Boiler integrated: Burner run times are recorded, and an emergency shutdown is provided.
- Anti-seize protection: Valves and pump are moved regularly so that they do not seize up after long breaks.
- Predictive heating (beta): Based on the weather forecast, the system preheats before it gets cold outside. This function is still being tested.
